Prosimians

Prosimians, the ancestors of monkeys and ages lived sixty-five million years ago: Mammals then were of two main sorts;
One – rodent-like – remained on the ground.
The Other – called Prosimians – took to the trees

Prosimians, tree-dweller ancestors of monkeys and apes, were little creatures, much smaller than monkeys and apes. Those with physical anatomy that enabled them to overcome the challenges of the forest, such as shade, confused visual patterns, and treacherous hand holds, survived. And those without such physical anatomy were wiped out.
